On November 21st we packed the car and headed home to Cincinnati for the holidays. Yes, that’s right – 35 days in total for me and Drew and Tim flew in on weekends. Although I was excited about our little adventure, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little apprehensive too. We’d be living out of a suitcase, traveling back and forth from the West side to Mason, and then of course facing
returning to work (on December 3rd) which was the main reason for our extended Ohio trip. We also had a baby without a schedule that I wouldn’t say we had quite mastered by this time either. So as I sit here in Nashville on December 27th and relect on our stint at home (hmm….home?), I have to say it was without a doubt the most memorable and special 5 weeks…for us all.
Drew got to spend so much time with his grandparents and family members. He smiled and babbled non stop. He met
quite a few of our friends. He slept through the night (for the first time). He was baptised. He went to Christmas parties. He met Santa. He gained a minimum of 2 pounds (probably more like 2.5-2.75). He experienced his first Thanksgiving and first Christmas…..and so much more. I have a million pictures that I am sorting through and although this little blog took a back seat during our Ohio Vacay, I’m getting back in the swing of things and plan to blog about Drew’s Christmas Vacation in several installments. 🙂
